100 books to read in KS1

I recently came across this fantastic list of 100 books to read in ks1, there are a number of fantastic books to share as a class or at home and I have subsequently ordered a few to keep in the book corner.

I thought you may find the list useful if you are looking for new book ideas. I highly recommend ‘The Bear and the Piano’ … it’s simply lovely! A personal favourite of mine is also ‘The Day The Crayons Quit’, we love putting on silly voices/accents for each different crayon and think anyone would love it!

Letters and Sounds

Parents of Little Owls, here is a list of which sounds we are learning and when within Owls class. Some days we choose to recap rather than embark on the next sound, depending on the children’s confidence so please treat this as an overview.
