We were really excited to go back on the Forest School site today. It has been very slippery after the bad weather so we have been going for walks instead. It was good to be able to climb, build dens, hammer in stakes and do some swinging today. We had lots of fun even though it was cold and frosty. We put fleeces on and Jasper said he was wearing 6 layers!
We have been using the things in the classroom to make mini beasts. Can you see the caterpillar and the butterflies? We were careful to make our butterflies symmetrical!
We went looking for spider’s webs around the school. We used magnifying glasses to look at them really carefully.
This time we have been sewing butterflies to fly around our classroom.
We drew and cut out butterflies. Then we painted one half of them and folded them over to print the other side so that our butterflies were symmetrical. They are really colourful. Look out for a display of them soon!
Some of us have been busy making minibeasts in the Creative Area. We have been using all sorts of materials to make our pictures.
Yey! More of us have moved on to another target in maths.
