This morning we made clay tiles with Julie. We cut maple leaves out of clay to put on our tiles and then we decorated them.
Well, we have at last started the roof of our igloo. ALL the children managed to fit inside today when the Stroud News photographer came to school! We still need milk containers with their lids so that we can finish it off. Will we finish by half term? Watch this space to find out…
Today we made maple cookies. We used flour, brown sugar, butter, eggs and maple syrup. We did some rubbing in, stirring, mixing and rolling between our hands. They smelt delicious when they were cooking. We are going to take them home to share.
Some of us achieved our mathematics goal and have moved up to the next set of targets. We were really pleased to get our certificates (honestly!).
On Thursday at Forest School we collected sticks and leaves to make a bug hotel so that the mini beasts have somewhere to live during the winter months. We will open the hotel in the Spring to see who came to stay!
We have been using white boards to practise our letters and sounds. We are getting really good at writing our letters correctly.
