Yesterday we had a go at the sack race! What fun…
In our P.E. Session today, we started to try out some of the activities we will be doing for our Mini Olympics in July. We had a go at using the javelins, jumping over the hurdles and skipping along the track.
We had a fantastic day today. The weather was good to us and we did some exciting activities. We started the day with a woodland walk , meeting some of the creatures who live in the woodland. Then, after a snack we went to the pond and did some pond dipping. One group were lucky enough to net a small stickleback. We went back to the meadow for a picnic lunch and after lunch we collected wood for a fire. We ended the day cooking crumpets over the fire. The children said that the day had been ‘epic’, ‘amazing’, ‘exciting’ and the ‘massively best day ever!’
These are just a selection of photographs taken on the day. Look out for more in your child’s scrapbook at the end of the year and at Owls Class Assembly, next Friday 12th June!!
Having spent time last half term learning how to program a Bee Bot, this morning we used the Bee Bot app on the iPads. We just need to remember to clear his memory each time before programming in a new set of instructions!
